Starting today, you can call and schedule an appointment from December 19th on. Urgent Care will also begin December 19th. This means you also have the chance to claim a FREE DNA test for your cat or dog - limited to the first 100 who call in and set up a DNA swab appointment OR establish care with us and schedule their first wellness exam!
NOTE: the DNA swab appointment is complementary and for swabbing only, but if you want to establish care and set up a Primary Care appointment, we can do the swab at that time as well. Just let us know!

I'd like to take this opportunity to introduce you to our talented veterinarians and team members here at Island Animal Hospital, beginning with our rockstar Medical Director, Dr. Jenny Larson.
Dr. Jenny Larson is incredibly excited to lead the Island Animal Hospital team in putting pets first in a community ready and excited to welcome a high-quality veterinary hospital focused on people and their pets
Prior to joining Island Animal Hospital, she worked as an Associate Veterinarian in Eastern North Carolina as a General Practitioner; on weekends she worked relief in a local ER! Dr. Larson was trained at the University of Florida, followed by a rotating small animal ER and specialty internship at Northwest Veterinary Specialists in Clackamas, OR. She enjoys challenging soft tissue surgery and dentistry cases, wound care, and treating endocrine disease.
Outside of work, Jenny enjoys spending time outdoors with her son, Torin, and husband, Michael, mountain biking, hiking, kayaking and fishing. We couldn't have dreamed of a better leader for the Island Animal Hospital team!
Once again, thank you all again for the incredibly warm welcome we’ve gotten on the Island so far. We’re so excited to officially join the community and help you take the BEST care of your pets.
